MEET ANGELA BANKS, FOUNDER OF THE ANNEX

 I have made it my mission to improve life/work balance for mothers. My experience in managing motherhood and a professional career led me to the creation of The Annex, a coworking community for moms. While expecting my second child, I left my career as a Senior Manager in public accounting, to focus on this venture.

I am a Dallas native and an alum of Southern Methodist University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Financial Consulting and a master’s in Accounting. I am a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner. My career has taken me to Europe and Asia, where I have seen varying approaches to maternity and family leave. As a business consultant, I have worked with individuals at all levels of management within private and public companies, noting the lack of top female executives in many organizations.

I am excited to introduce the first coworking community designed exclusively for new moms.
